Logitech’s new MX Master 4 Mouse Continues where the last model had gone, the introduction of haptic feedback, an improved sensor, adaptable shortcuts and the same completely quiet clicks that the mouse is known for on an omni-compatible platform for Windows, Macos, Linux and Chromeos.

The 8,000 DPI sensor basically works on any surface on which you would use a mouse (including the glass table top in your hotel room) with a large, comfortable form factor that fits naturally at hand.

I have been using the MX Master 4 for a few weeks with my most important driver, and I am a big fan of adjusting the mouse, silent clicks and overall ergonomics, but it really seems when you link it to the Logi Options+ Software, which opens shortcuts and task automation.

If you have never used an MX -Master, the first thing you notice is the big button where your thumb rests. Tapping this button opens the action ring, a digital overlay that records an adaptable list of app-specific shortcuts, adjusted in the Logi Options+ software.

Although you could just buy the MX Master 4 for its ergonomics, I strongly recommend using the adjustments here to complete the experience, especially with how user -friendly they are. You do not have to be a pro-u maker-u can be allocated universally usual functions to the action ring, such as opening or closing certain apps, storing or app-specific requests.

Advanced users in particular are attracted to the adaptability, which can be as deep or subtle as you want. For example, the Haptic feedback can be adjusted to communicate with double -clicking, scrolling or right -clicking, while with smart promotions you can automate repetitive actions quickly. Less clicking means that it is done faster.

All these functions add a new usability element to the mouse and move it from just a simple arrow on the screen to an adjustable tool at the level of the operating system: the core of Logitech’s vision for this device.

However, it is the physical build of the mouse that gives the first impression. It is quite large and feels premium, with an ergonomic design that forms to the hand. It has two roll wheels: one for vertical (activated with the index finger) and one for horizontal scrolling (activated with the thumb).

The scroll wheel is activated with click feedback for precise scrolling, but a powerful turn of it skips the clicks for a smooth twist of the wheel that goes up to 1,000 lines per minute. I was especially happy to see the aluminum scroll wheels, a nice touch that contributes to the build quality.

By the way, if you live in Excel or Google sheets and have not used a horizontal scroll wheel, this is a major improvement for productivity. I cannot go back to the physical dragging of the vertical scroll wheel on the left and immediately after the satisfactory fixed thumb scroller on the MX Master 4.

In terms of power, the MX Master 4 requires a little more juice than your typical mouse, but it is so fast that it is unlikely that it will someday be a problem. Logitech says it will take up to 70 days on full load, or three hours from a quick charge of one minute.

This translates into connecting the mouse every few months to provide electricity in the coming months. For most people this is a normal loading cadence that matches similar devices.

Logitech also earns his reputation here as a supplier of practical workhorse devices when it comes to connectivity. The MX Master 4 can simultaneously link with a maximum of three different devices, and exchange between them is just as easy as activating the action ring. Even better, there is no difference between exchange between operating systems here, because I use the mouse on both my MacBook Pro and on a customized Windows PC.

In that spirit I will say that this mouse is not ideal for gaming. The large build is comfortable for productivity, rewarding precision, comfort and automation, not the lightness needed for fast mouse movements and fast response times.

The Logitech MX Master 4 is a fantastic mouse that is comfortable – even luxury – with simple connectivity simply “just works”, a large number of adaptable fast actions, satisfactory haptic feedback and a solid build that makes it an investment device that should take a few years.

It should certainly be for $ 119. It is not exactly cheap, but it is also not bizzy. In my opinion, it is worth the investment if you want to bind to a well -designed mouse on which you can count on the use of multiple devices at the same time.
