The Government of Telangana has again issued orders, which extends the deadline for payment of the reimbursement with a 25% discount for the layout regularization schedule until 31 May.

The government had already extended it twice, first until April 30 and then until 4 May. The first deadline ended on 31 March for the discount scheme launched on 20 February this year.

According to the first announcement, a discount of 25% was announced on the regularization costs and open space costs if paid before the deadline, announced for the LRs in 2020. Applicants were given the option to pay pro-rata open spaces at the time of obtaining building authorizations, but they must also be paid without rebate.

A total of 25.67 LAKH requests were received from the entire state in response to LRS, when it was first informed in 2020. However, the applications were not actively processed, nor the procedure were issued, so that the entire scheme was stuck for years.

The answer for the discount offer is not very enthusiastic. Only 5.19 Lakh applicants used the discount until April 30 Deadline, which is just over 20% of the total applications. The LRS procedures were issued with regard to 40% of the applications for which the payment was made.

Although the government hoped to collect £ 20,000 crore through the LRS payment, it could only earn £ 1,863, so that less than 10% of the targeted income was achieved.
