Checked by a difficult incoming nine holes, Diksha Dagar still brought a top 20 -finish on the Pif London Championship on Sunday.
With rounds of 70, 73 and 73 in the Par-73 Centurion Club near London, Diksha finished in a part of the 19th place that helped her to maintain 12th place on the Ladies European Tour’s Order of Merit.
The 23-year-old had moments of sparkle on her first nine holes in the barrel of which she picked up three shots, but the rear nine turned out to be more difficult to negotiate when she finished at 3 under 216.
At the top, Laura Fünfstück van Germany kept her courage to claim a victory in one stroke and her girl left a title on Ecuadoresian Rookie Daniela Darquea.
Starting with the final round with three shots, Fünfstück was three-over after the first four holes.
The German then assembled a remarkable recovery and produced a composite back nine to win at the very last after the management had changed owner more than once.
A tap-in Birdie on the 18th sealed Fünfstück’s Maiden Tour victory on 10 Under-PAR 209.
Large mover
Darquea was the largest mover of the day with a brilliant 5 under 68 who earned the outright second place at 9 Under-PAR 210.
Five -time let winner Anne van Dam rise to Solo Third after a dramatic eagle at the last hole, ending at 8 under.
Seven players shared fourth place at 7, including Olivia Cowan, Adela Cernouishek, Alice Hewson, Lee-Anne Pace, Merit List Leader Mimi Rhodes, Kim Metraux and Manon de Roey.
Diksha started with confidence and took three birdies at the front nine. Her precise iron game and steady places suggested that she could rise in the top 10.
However, she gave the early win back in a piece between the 11th and 14th holes, causing crucial shots to fall that stopped her momentum.
Colleague -India golfers Aditi Ashok and Pranavi Urs also made the cut but finished further on the rankings.
LPGA regular Aditi returned maps of 73, 74 and 72 to end the Event at the level of and to go in 34th place.
Pranavi placed scores of 75, 71 and 75 to total 2 above 221 and draw for the 44th position. Rookie Avani Prashanth did not progress beyond the cut line.
The Let takes a break of a week before he goes to Sweden for the hills open in the Hills Golf & Sports Club from 22 to 24 August.
