Swansea City hosts Derby County on Tuesday evening and both look set to come away with three points.
Swansea City welcome Derby County to South Wales as they look for a much-needed win on home soil. The Swans sit just above the bottom three in 20th place as the busy December schedule approaches.
The Swans are looking to end a three-match losing streak after being beaten 3-0 by Bristol City in their last league match. Two first-half goals from Rob Dickie and Emil Riis, along with a late goal from Yu Hirakawa, saw the Robins on their way to a routine victory over interim manager Darren O’Dea.
Swansea scored just fifteen goals in the Championship all season – the third worst in the entire division.

Derby County was beaten 3-2 by Watford last time out. After seeing his side lead 2-0, manager John Eustace will be disappointed to get away pointless after three goals in the second half.
DCFC are now twelfth, winning six, drawing five and losing five.
The Rams were one of the busiest sides in the summer transfer window before the start of the season, but made a disappointing start to boost boss Eustace’s fortunes considering the money spent. However, having previously won five in a row, they are more likely to look up rather than down.
Here, a handful of our writers make their predictions for the game…
Will Evans-Jones
“Swansea City’s results and performances so far have seen them slide towards the relegation places. After replacing their manager Alan Sheehan and losing a seventh game of the season last time out, they will be desperate for three points at home.”
“However, I think they will also struggle on Tuesday. Derby County have shown that they are capable of beating anyone, home or away, in the second tier.
“There is concern among the Welsh team about how Swansea City will win more games and score more goals.
“With Derby County having won five times previously on the spin for Saturday, I can say this ends up as an away win.”
Prediction: Swansea City 0-2 Derby County
James Ray
“It remains to be seen whether Vitor Matos will be in charge of this match or will be watching from the stands, but this match could confirm what a tough task lies ahead for the Swansea City boss.
“Derby County will be very disappointed to see their winning run end in that way. However, they have the opportunity here to respond quickly, and the Swans are playing as they are, DCFC are well placed to bounce back.
“I think we’ll have a close match with the hosts perhaps buoyed by the presence of their new boss, even if he’s not in the dugout. But ultimately I don’t think they have enough to get past the Rams.”
Prediction: Swansea City 1-2 Derby County
