Very incredible that Dermot Gallagher doesn’t think it was a red card.
Whether it was a fine or not, is disputable, because the incident is exactly on the edge of the box.
What is not in dispute (or should not be!) Is that it was a clear cynical mistake by Mosquera who was the last defender, so it had to be a red card.
Indeed, another former referee, Keith Hackett, has said this exactly, you could not have clearer shipping, especially if you look at the repetitions and the obvious intention of the defender, with Barnes through on goal.
