Denzel Freeman, Marine Corps officer and former WWE wrestler, makes UFC debut at UFC 324

Denzel Freeman, 34, will make his UFC debut on the promotion’s first major card of 2026, UFC 324. The former WWE wrestler and current US Marine Corps logistics officer will face Josh Hokit in preliminary card action.

Freeman, who boasts a professional mixed martial arts record of 7-1, was a two-time state placer in high school and a three-time national qualifier in college before being recruited by the WWE.

He would leave the WWE in 2015 and began competing as an amateur mixed martial artist. In 2018, Freeman entered Marine Corps Officer Candidate School, OCS, and graduated on a reserve contract.

Freeman turned pro in 2017 and won his first three fights under the Titan Fighting Championship banner.

“Denzel Freeman has an exciting fighting style that is a combination of Taekwon Do and Greco Wrestling,” Lex McMahon, COO of Titan FC told MyMMANews. “Denzel is an incredible heavyweight athlete who can deliver flashy, technical kicks and powerful throws and takedowns. When Denzel fought for me, I was excited to see him fight because he’s a fellow Marine, but he’s also a damn good fighter with tremendous charisma and who knows how to market himself and the promotion. As a fan, I’m excited about his UFC debut.”

“Luke Fox” Freeman also competed twice in the PFL, winning the LFA Heavyweight Championship earlier this year.
