In episode 271 of The Threat Podcast, host Dennis James was joined by Milos Sarcev, Jose Raymond and special guest Melvin Anthony to explain the latest bodybuilding news. On the show, the talk turned to Andrew Jacked’s chances of winning the Arnold Classic, now about five weeks away, and the crew had some advice for the big Nigerian.

“I still think he’s above everyone else,” said Raymond, an accomplished bodybuilder and coach famous for winning the 2015 Arnold in the 212 division. “He’s the one that just stands out,” he explained. That view was echoed by host Dennis James. “I still believe he’s going to win,” added the man they call The Menace. In fact, the entire panel felt that Jacked had every opportunity to increase its current fame. “He’s definitely the man to beat,” suggested Melvin Anthony, who expressed his belief that AJ could even take on the more experienced Hadi Choopan under the right circumstances. But if Jacked wants to beat a stacked lineup in Columbis, OH that also includes Martin Fitzwater and Nick Walker, he would have to address some issues, James offered.

What Andrew Jacked needs to improve to win the Arnold

Earlier in the show, the gang had to deal with a recent progress photo that Jacked shared via Instagram. “When you saw that Andrew Jacked photo of a lat spread, were you impressed or concerned?” asked Milos Sarcev. “Because I sent that photo to Jay Cutler because I thought he would be impressed, and he asked the question, why: is this a good thing or a bad thing?” James agreed that work is still needed to create the perfect package for the Arnold and felt that while AJ’s upper body looked great, his hamstrings and glutes still required attention. “The hamstrings and glutes seem way behind,” The Menace said.

“We’re still five weeks away,” the presenter noted, noting that a lot could change as final preparations reach a climax. “His upper body looks good, I mean from the front, double from the front, he’s in shape,” but The Menace added that it would be a shame if his lagging parts got in the way of victory. “So he has to bring the conditioning he had at Olympia, right?” If Jacked can address these points, he could be on his way to winning a whopping $750,000, the largest in bodybuilding history.
