Denis Shapovalov and Mirjam Bjorklund made the knot earlier this month, announced the couple on Friday on social media and shared sharing photos of their ceremony. The Canadian and Bjorklund married on September 9 in Lesante Cape in Zakynthos, Greece.
“It was really that special,” Shapovalov Atptour.com said. “Every day we had in Zakynthos with our good friends and family was better than we could ever have asked and I am so excited that I had to marry my best friend in such an incredible environment.”

The couple started dating in 2019 and Shapovalov presented Bjorklund in July 2023. Their wedding ceremony looked over the Ionian Sea and provided a breathtaking background.
“It was really so great when we introduced ourselves when we chose Lesante Cape for our wedding location,” said Bjorlund, now Mirjam Shapovalova. “The weather was incredible and every moment was a photo perfect. It was the best start of our marriage and we are so excited to spend forever.”
Shapovalov, no. 26 in the PIF ATP ranking, has a seasonal record of 21-17, according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index. He won his biggest career title in February at the ATP 500 in Dallas. The 26-year-old won an ATP 250 trophy in Los Cabos in July without dropping a set.
