G2 Esports and Hanwha Life Esports won their respective groups on Wednesday and went on to the play -off phase on the Esports World Cup League of Legends event in Riyad, Saudi -Aarabia.

Two more Playoff-Ligplaces are on the line on Thursday, because Flyquest and Furia in the group landed a final with a lower bracket and Koi and CTBC Flying Oyster will end up in the equivalent in group B.

Twelve teams compete for shares of a $ 2 million prize pool on the Esports World Cup 2025. The tournament is also part of the club championship that will assign $ 7 million to the winning team at the end of the Cup.

The event started with a double elimination group phase Wednesday and Thursday with the eight low seed teams. All competitions were the best and the top two teams of each group move forward to the play-offs, where they join the four high seeds (Gen.g Esports, Bilibili Gaming, AG.Al and T1).

On Wednesday, G2 Esports Group A opened with a 32 -minute victory over Furia while playing on Blue. Flyquest defeated Cloud9 on blue in 39 minutes to join G2 in the final of the upper bracket, where G2 reached a 34 -minute victory.

Furia eliminated Cloud9 with a 34 -minute victory over Red in the semi -final with a lower bracket. The winner between Flyquest and Furia on Thursday morning will have a quick change to see Gen.g Esports in the quarterfinals of the Play -Off.

In group B, Hanwha Life rode to a 28 -minute win on CTBC Flying Oyster, while Koi achieved a neat victory of 30 minutes over Blue on GAM Esports. Hanwha Life, however, continued to dominate in the final of the upper bracket, however, crossing Koi on blue in 29 minutes.

CTBC Flying Oyster kept alive by beating GAM on Red in 28 minutes and will be confronted with Koi in the DO-of-Die competition on Thursday.

The tournament will continue on Thursday with four games:

-Flyquest vs. Furia (Group A Lower bracket final)

-Koi vs. CTBC Flying Oyster (Group B Lower-Baket Final)

—Gen.g Esports vs. Flyquest-Furia winner (Playoff quarterfinals)

-Bilibili gaming versus g2 eSports (playoff quarterfinals)
