Buffalo Bills that come back, James Cook can wear the “check, please” approach through a training camp because of its reliability level that there will soon be a large payment day.

“I mean, no matter how it happens, it will be done. Wherever it happens,” Cook said on Thursday after participating in the first two days of training sessions and chooses not to maintain while working on a contract extension.

“We have conversations. … I mean, I earn what I want, I need and it will eventually happen,” Cook said.

In the last year of his contract, the 25-year-old Cook set a franchise record for hasty touchdowns in one season with 16 in 2024. He has been having hurrying up for 238 since the accounts in 2022.

General Manager Brandon Beane said that the bills want to be a team that develops, develops and rewards talent. But the financial factor is always present.

“Sometimes you can’t get to the same page or sometimes you try to fit it,” Beane said. “There are times when guys left here that we really wanted. We just couldn’t let it work. But I can tell you, I am hopeful, if we are here in next year’s training camp that James Cook is practicing there and still represents the red, white and blue.”

Cook said he owes himself, family and teammates alone. But he reported and participates in the camp from that obligation and to remind teammates that he is ready to go.

“It’s my job,” said Cook. “I have to participate, so I don’t get a fine and just come out here and just show them that I am ready to earn what I have to get.”

Cook is said to be subject to daily fines for not reporting because he is under contract. He said, “I love my money” when he was asked if the fines were a deterrent of a holdout.

On Thursday asked about his Instagram Live -Post, his reference to a price tag of “15 mill (per) year”, Cook said he was not sorry about fixing that figure on social media.

“James is a competitive guy. He is a stud. He is a great teammate. He wants to be here,” said Beane. “James fits on Buffalo. But sometimes you can’t get to the same page.”
