David Festa van Twins suffers seasonal shoulder injury

Twins Starter David Festa Is done for the season after a setback while working a shoulder injury, relay Bobby Nightengale of the Minnesota Star Tribune. Festa is on its way to a consultation with the well -known orthopedist Dr. Keith Meister.

The 25-year-old Festa has been out since mid-July. Minnesota sent him to Triple-A St. Paul for a rehabilitation start on 28 August. Festa threw five after more 2/3 scoreless innings. It seems that he came out of the appearance with renewed shoulder pain. That will close him the year. The twins will hope that there is nothing structurally wrong that will influence its availability for 2026.

Festa is in his second big league season. He missed bats at an above -average pace, but has given up a few too many home runs, which contributes to a 5.12 ERA during his first 25 performances. This year Festa gave 5.40 points earned per nine over 53 1/3 frames. The 6’6 ″ Righty was one of the better pitching overviews of Minnesota for his debut. He is one of the handful of pitchers from the mid -20s of whom the twins hope that the long -term rotary pieces will be.

Zebby MatthewsSimeon Woods Richardson and deadline -acquisition Taj Bradley are in the current start of five. Mick Abelacquired from Philadelphia in the Jhoan Duran Deal, hit hard in his first two performances such as twins and was returned to Triple-A yesterday. Festa is on the 15-day injured list, so the twins can transfer him to the 60-day IL if they have to open a 40-man roster place before the end of the season. This season he crossed the service line of one year and is under club control by at least 2030.
