Darren Till Explains Why He Left Andrew Tate vs. Chase DeMoor Fight Early: ‘A Few Numpties’ | BJPenn.com

Darren Till had no interest in sticking around for the conclusion of Andrew Tate’s Misfits Boxing debut against Chase DeMoor.

There were times when Tate was simply trying to survive DeMoor’s barrages during their fight on Saturday. Ultimately, DeMoor defeated Tate via majority decision. Till, a former UFC title contender, was at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium to witness the fight but left the venue early.

Speak with Charlie Parsons of “The Stomping Ground,” Till revealed why he couldn’t bear to watch another second of last Saturday’s main event (h/t MMAfighting).

“I have given my life – twenty years to this sport – I strive for pure, striking martial arts,” Till told Charlie Parsons. “I consider myself one of the most outstanding martial artists in the world. A few numpties call me out like that, and I’m sitting ringside.

“I had to leave because it respects everything I believe in and everything I’ve trained for. What am I watching? I’m actually unlearning it as I watch. So yeah. What?”

Till has become a popular figure in the world of influencer boxing. After a second-round TKO finish over Mohammad Mutie, which led to an in-ring brawl, Till scored victories over Darren Stewart and Anthony Taylor. “The Gorilla” delivered his best performance as a boxer when he knocked out Luke Rockhold in the third round.

Had Tate defeated DeMoor, it could have cleared the way for him to settle his feud with Till, who had called for a showdown before Saturday. So far, it doesn’t seem like he’s interested in sharing the ring with Tate or even DeMoor. It remains to be seen who the former UFC welterweight title contender will share the ring with.
