The plan now appears to be in line with securing a new opponent for Paul for mid-December at a location yet to be determined. During the fallout from people knowing Paul vs. Davis wouldn’t happen on November 14, martial arts athletes of all persuasions threw their names in the hat, including a former enemy of Paul.
Nate Diaz took to social media to claim that he had accepted the rematch with Paul, and while the latter said he respected how good the Stockton native is for a fight, the rematch would unfortunately not happen this month, and perhaps not at all.
This rubbed off on the former UC welterweight title challenger in some ways, as Darren Till hinted that there were some unique considerations Diaz had in the reported contract negotiations for a potential fight between the two. As he confused both Diaz and, to some extent, Paul in a recent tweet on his personal X platform’To said:
“Nate Diaz calls on Jake Paul to fight at 200 pounds while asking me to die to make 180 pounds. The game is full of absolute mongoloides…”
Darren Till, and when he called out Nate Diaz earlier
Darren Till also used his X-page to fire direct shots at Nate Diaz in an attempt to force the former UFC lightweight title challenger into a fight. On October 17, Till tweeted a challenge to Diaz, asking him if they were fighting or not, and the former called the latter a blubbering fool for good measure.
Since Till is the MFB bridgeweight champion, this fight would likely take place under the Misfits Boxing banner. Diaz’s last fight took place under Queensberry rules when Diaz defeated his former MMA rival, Jorge Masvidal.
