Dana White is happy to brag about an important change in presentation that is planned for the Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford broadcast.
White has again baptized his toes in boxing promotion, and this time he has more control. He promotes the undisputed super middleweight title fight this weekend between Alvarez and Crawford. White has used some promotion tactics that are known to UFC fans, such as the “embedded” series.
Regarding a great presentation change that stands out from other boxing shows, White said Ring magazine that the pace will be superior (via Inappropriate).
“I like it when the night moves quickly,” said White. “At the moment, when you look at a boxing event, they have one fight, then there is a podcast. Then there is a fight and there is a podcast and the night is towed away. It is bad enough for the people who watch TV at home. The people who are live, it must be madman.
“I have not been fighting for years. The last fight I went to MGM and it was Tyson Fury and (Deontay) Wilder. It was the worst experience I have ever had at an event. Great fight – and I was too nice, small, sh*tty shows that was much better than it was.”
White continued to say that the problem with the last big boxing event he attended was that it was “unorganized” and he thought there was not enough security. He even claimed that there were other people on his seats and nobody was there to correct the situation.
Regarding the presentation of your typical boxing broadcast, White said it is not necessary for the desk panel to talk enough time after each fight. The UFC boss made it clear that he wants to keep the energy all night.
