The UFC Apex has a new name.As a result of a partnership with Meta, the promotion’s home venue in Las Vegas will now be known as the Meta Apex for the next five years. UFC CEO Dana White announced the rebrand on social media on Monday.
“So as we enter the new year, the home of the Contender Series is home to some [UFC] Fight Nights, home of Zuffa Boxing, UFC BJJ will now be called the Meta Apex,” White said on Instagram. “We have signed a five-year deal with Meta.“So welcome to the new Meta Apex.”
White was elected to Meta’s board of directors in 2025. Meta, one of the largest information technology companies in the US, owns Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Threads, among others. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is an avid MMA fan and consistent jiu-jitsu practitioner.
A new experience
According to a release, “Meta branding will be integrated throughout the facility. UFC and Meta will also collaborate to create interactive experiences within the venue. These spaces will feature some of Meta’s latest technological advancements and will invite fans and athletes to deepen their involvement with UFC in new and innovative ways.”The Meta Apex officially opened in 2019 and has been an integral part of the UFC’s continued operations during the COVID-19 pandemic, allowing events to be held when other venues were unavailable. Since then, it has remained a consistent host for UFC Fight Night events, and the arena recently underwent an expansion to increase seating capacity and accommodate up to 1,000 spectators. The entire project, which will put Apex tickets on sale to the public for the first time, is expected to be completed later this year.
“Meta has always been at the forefront of technology and immersive experiences, and their improvements will change the way fans watch live fights,” White added in a release. “This rebrand comes at the perfect time as the facility completes a major renovation that will expand capacity, concessions, hospitality and UFC retail. For the first time ever, fans can come to Meta Apex and experience UFC fights with interactive VR, AI and wearable technology. I can’t wait for fans to see it.”
