Dan Hooker’s UFC Qatar appearance against Arman Tsarukyan did not go according to his plans, and ‘The Hangman’ was submitted in Round 2. Now, Hooker has made his first statement following the loss.
In a recent interview, he stated that he plans to stick around as long as he can, despite having to face the harsh reality that he may never get his hands on the UFC lightweight belt. During a conversation with Oscar Willis he said:
“Well, you have to face the cold, hard truths. You’ll probably never get your hands on a title, but I’m going to hang around as long as I can and ruin the hopes and dreams of as many people as possible, because if I can’t have nice things, no one can.”

Arman Tsarukyan praises Dan Hooker for his efforts
Arman Tsarukyan says no other UFC fighter was willing to talk to him. However, Hooker was the standout and he stepped in and said yes to the fight. Known for his exceptionally striking and fearless attitude, ‘The Hangman’ has given fans countless memorable fights to date. After UFC Qatar, Tsarukyan praised Hooker:
Respect to Dan Hooker for taking the fight. He has a bigger butt than the division champion”
Hooker planned to beat the top contender and earn a title shot. But his offer was failedand he’s back to the drawing board.
On the other hand, ‘Ahalkalakets’ plans to make a quick turnaround and wants to fight against champion Ilia Topuria, who, on the other hand, has not shown any interest in fighting the Armenian so far. Rumor has it that Topuria will face Paddy Pimblett or Justin Gaethje next. Now, however, many in the MMA community are backing Tsarukyan as he solidified his position as a top contender with a huge win and demanded a title shot.
