Hooker knows how to make things ugly and he knows how to put it all on the line. At UFC Qatar, when he is facing Arman Tsarukyan, he knows he will be the underdog – but this is not something that will in the least influence him.

In a recent interview, Hooker opened why he took this fight and what he expects to happen.

Hooker’s View on Tsarukyan collision

“I knew that the fight would eventually come together, just because I know that many people will try to avoid him in the division,” Hooker told Submission Radio. “The champion, I have the feeling, does not want that fight that for many other people are useful, to see the fight that it is most logical for them and to make their way out of bad stylistic matchups or tough opponents. But yes, that is probably the number 1 reason that pulled me to this fight and I think he is the best Jager in the Jager in the Jager in the Division.”

“I feel that the person who wins this fight between me and Arman – if I beat Arman, you have to fight for the title now,” Hooker said. “I feel that your head and shoulders places above everyone else as the next man in line to fight for a title.”

“It will be exciting for the fans, for the press conference, and come to each other’s faces, and that,” said Hooker. “Because I think there is a lot of hostility. I don’t like his face. I don’t like his face, and I would like to separate the two. I don’t love the guy. I don’t know anything about him, but I hate everything he stands for. I can’t wait to get him in the nose.”

“I feel like this fight, everything is up to him to prove,” Hooker said. “He’s just up to this old man and he gets a title shot. So I feel that the responsibility is for him to prove himself. And for me that leaves me behind with a lot of freedom. I can get to my shoulders without weight and just get to Venom.
