It went too well during the four-game extraction streak, and it was back to reality today, because the bats were again stopped by the Diamondbacks with some help from referee Phil Cuzzi while the Dodgers Shutout were in a 3-0 loss.
Last four games were too good, back to remind us what baseball is all about: suffering.

Since the return of the IL, Blake Snell Has had a sub-2 era, but today was his first blip. He did his usual thing early, because after a one-out walk in the 1st there was a wild throw and stolen base with two out, but nothing to worry about. He returned with a 2nd seven-pitch and then worked around a two-out walk and wanted to throw in the 3rd.
The 4th was moved because it started with one Teoscar Hernandez Sliding catch that was first ruled a double before it was reversed.

A single followed, but after a strikeout to put it on the edge, Blaze Alexander Put on a fastball for a two-run Homer to set up the D-backs 2-0.

Snell recovered in the 5th by giving up just a two-out walk, but in the 6th a Lad-off Double was invented by a one-out single to bring the score to 3-0 and hit Snell out.

He usually looked good, maybe the command was a bit off, but only a start that happens: 5.1 IP, 4 hours, 3 R, 3 BB, 8 K, 86 pitches.
Ben Casparis Said and immediately gave a walk to set up a few, but then got the next two batters. He then continued in the 7th, got one out but gave a new walk, which led to Anthony Banda Relieve him. Banda made things calm by getting the last two out, although it remained short.
To close the book on the D-backs, Kirby Yates Had to throw 22 fields in the 8th, but got a 1-2-3 frame. Jack Dreyer then got a clean 9th in 1-2-3 way.

Anyway, the Dodgers did not get a runner to the first base through five innings, causing a few walks and an Infield Single to scatter.
The 6th seemed like a breakthrough because it was their first real chance, like one Mookie Betts Double made of a rally, and Freddie Freeman Walked to bring the draw to the plate. If that draw, Will Smith The ball gave a shock to the track on the left, but just missed a Homer.

That began the D-Backs pen, which in the 7th only surrendered a two-out single, followed with a clean 8th and closed with another.
