In the FIR, the police of Adugodi BNS sections 106 and 125 have invoked the cause of death caused by negligence and actions that endanger personal security respectively. A senior police officer confirmed The Hindu That the FIR was registered after a complaint by Mubarak’s father, the 10-year-old boy who died in the incident.
The explosion took place in the house of Kastuamma around 8.10 am, and its impact ensured that the walls collapsed and the roofs of various neighboring houses in the compact colony in Chinnaiahnapalya.
“Although the father of the deceased did not mention a Kastuermerma or anyone else in his complaint, the latter noted in her statement that she had eliminated the cylinder before she went to bed the previous night,” said the officer, in which he explained the decision to submit the case to the gas company.
According to the officer, Kastuermma was dealt with as a witness, while the formal complaint was submitted by Mubarak’s father. KastuuMama recorded her statement while recovering in the hospital.

The police said they should establish the source of the leak. If the FSL report excludes defects in the cylinder or regulator and points to external negligence, the suspect will be amended accordingly and the case will continue on that basis.
