Adjusting the attic angle of a Honma TW777 driver

There are a few simple steps you can take to adjust the loft angle of your driver. All you need is an adjustment tool or wrench to get started.

Here’s how to customize a Honma TW777 driver:

1. Locate the hose screw on the sole of your Honma TW777 driver that secures the driver head to the shaft.

2. Using the wrench, loosen the screw by turning counterclockwise.

3. Once the screw is fully loosened, you can rotate the hose to a lower or higher cage depending on your preference.

You will see the words STD, LOW, HIGH and FL on the hose for the different settings. They can be set to the following:

  • STD – Standard loft, face angle and lie
  • LOW – Minus 1 degree of loft and face angle open
  • HIGH – Plus 1 degree loft and angle closed
  • FL – Minus 2 degrees lie

4. Once you have turned the non-rotating hose to the desired settings, slide the shaft back into your club head. Your new hutch is on display.

5. Replace the screw and tighten it clockwise with the wrench. When it is completely tight, you will hear a crank that sounds like the driver is creaking. At this point the screw is tightened as much as necessary.

Each time you want to adjust the hutch, repeat this process.
