The recall of Ford and Lincoln Back -Up camera is an extension of a recall in April.
From August 13, Ford was aware of 44.123 Global warranty claims that have been submitted since 6 May 2014, and 18 collisions were reported due to rear -view camera -Mislukings. However, no injuries have been reported.
In view of the fact that Ford has published more than 110 recalls of safety in 2025, dealers have been booked solidly. Interim Back -Up Camera -Troep letters will be sent to customers between September 22 and September 28, 2025.
The last camera return letters will be sent when dealers have the replacement parts.
Ford says that the problem was caused by the backup camera supplier Magna and his sub-supplier.
According to Ford:
“Magna’s Sub-Levier carried out an unauthorized change in their PCB (printed printed circuit board) header tools, which resulted in lower terminal contact forces. Lower contact forces cause Fretting corrosion on the terminal head over time.”
Dealers will replace the rear -view cameras if necessary. Ford and Lincoln owners can call 866-436-7332 and ask for backup camera refund number 25S89.
