Sebi announces new rules to check Intraday positions in share derivatives from October 1, 2025

Sebi issued New rules (September 1, 2025) for monitoring INtraday positions in stock derivatives, in force from October 1, 2025.
The limit of the Intraday Netto position is set at £ 5,000 crore per entity, compared to the earlier limit at the end of the day of £ 1,500 crore.
The gross intraday exposure is off to £ 10,000 crore, used separately on long and short positions.
Stock fairs will follow compliance with the help of at least 4 random snapshots, and any infringement on the due date will attract fines.

UPI Transactions for the first time cross 20 billion marking in August in August

Unified Payments InterfaceUPI has one New milestone with the first time ever twenty billion transactions crossing in the month of August this year.
According to the National Payments Corporation of India, the total number of transactions was 20.01 billion, which marked an increase of 34 percent on an annual basis of 14.9 billion in August last year.
In August this year, UPI also registered transactions of 24.85 Lakh Crore coupies, which represents an increase of 24 percent on an annual basis. The average daily transaction count in August has reached 645 million.

EIPFA launches “NiveShak Didi-Phase II” to stimulate financial literacy and women-led empowerment

The Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (Elmfa) Launched under the Ministry of Business Affairs Phase II of “NiveShak Didi” In Hyderabad To promote financial literacy.

21st edition from India-us Joint Military exercise Yudh Abhyas 2025 I.S is held in Fort Wainwright, Alaska (US) From 1 to 14 September 2025, with the Madras Regiment Battalion of the Indian army that participates in addition to the US 5th Infantry Regiment “Bobcats” of the 11th Airborne Division.
The exercise includes heliborne operations, UAV deployment, mountain warfare, integration of artillery aviation and electronic warfield systems, aimed at improving tactical interoperability.
Experts from both armies will lead working groups on UAS & Counter-UAs, information warfare, communication and logistics, with the highlight of the common tactical maneuvers, live-Fire exercises and warfare at great heights to strengthen UN Peace Enforcement and Multi-Domain Park.
