Cumberland is preparing for the 2024 Au Revoir showcase

CUMBERLAND, IK – For the fifth running season in a row, First Tracks Cumberland presents the Au Revoir Retirement Showcase, scheduled for Saturday, December 20. The event is open to 14-year-old horses that are racing or retired within the last four years and have connections to Maine.

Ten retirees have already been registered, and those horses will parade in front of fans in harness or halter and be included in a half-page biography with photo in the program. Honor horses must be present to participate. This will serve as the ‘final call’ track for submissions. Trainers or owners must ‘declare’ their horse before December 3. To register your horse or for more information, please send an interesting email to Chris Tully at:[email protected].

First Tracks Cumberland has switched to a three-day race weekend, with the addition of the Friday (December 5) card, which complements the Saturday (December 6) and Sunday (December 7) programs. First message: 10:55 am.

The draw dates are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday respectively, with the box closing at 12pm each day.

Racing at Cumberland will continue for three days each weekend through December 21, 2024.
