CT: Stryda shoots for the 16th win of his career
A testy benefit is offered

The tough veteran Stryda is going for her 16the career victory in tonight’s fourth race at Charles Town Races, while in the seventh race a trio of runners look to repeat at the same level.
The fourth is a $5,000 starter/optional claimer for fillies and mares going 4 ½ furlongs.
Stryda, a six-year-old Great Notion mare, was claimed from her youngest by trainer Kevin Joy and owner John Julia. She has won 15 of 32 in her career, building a bankroll of $308,000, and she is 1-for-2 this year.

Victor Rodriguez is the favorite on the 7-5 morning line.
But she will have to deal with the likes of Dolce Veloce (9-5), Forgotten Gift (4-1) and Valid Reason (12-1). While Stryda defeated all of those two in her most recent victory, Dolce Veloce and Forgotten Gift both defeated her last clear, with Dolce Veloce beating Forgotten Gift by half a length and Stryda another half length further back.

Look for Stryda, who breaks off the rail, to go all the way to the front in this match and try to take them all the way.
In the seventh, Magic Mover (4-1), Deadpan (9-2) and Spurs Up (7-2) all won at similar levels as last of 1 1/16 miles on the first level/optional claimer to all run for the $15,000 claim tag today.
But none is preferred.
The 5-2 morning line favorite is Strava instead. The stakes-placed Into Mischief gelding, once an $825,000 purchase, has six career victories and earned $478,000. Now in trainer Anthony Farrior’s shed for owner Richard Burnsworth, he is set to make his third start after more than a year on the bench.
He rallied last to take the lead before tiring to fifth in the late stages in a $25,000 claimer at Mahoning Valley. Two back, in his local arc, he was a pretty close second behind the formative Omar Comin.
Arnaldo Bocachica has been named to drive.
Both Spurs Up and Magic Mover defeated local foes last, the latter at this distance, while Strava stablemate Deadpan strangled rivals in Mahoning Valley in his final episode.
Longshot Stormproof (30-1) will likely be in the hunt for the lead as he takes off from the interior post, perhaps joined by General Issue (3-1), as several others push for position in the next flight.
