Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that some key figures in the dressing room are unhappy with Mateta.

“It’s nothing we haven’t seen before, but in my experience it doesn’t sit well with the team.
“He refused to play against Nottingham Forest because he said his head was not in the right place. There have also been suggestions that he has not been training, which could have an impact on the squad.”

Palace striker should have handled it differently
