What a respectful Minute’s Silence for Diogo Jota should have been for the community screen was unfortunately disturbed by a handful of Crystal Palace fans.
Emma Smith from BBC Sport reported about a few people who screamed from the crowd, while the majority acknowledged the Portuguese international and his brother, Andre Silva, with applause after the referee’s whistle.
Liverpool and the Eagles went 2-2 in the normal time before the draw was arranged for penalties, with Anfield-coupled Marc Guehi’s outfit that came up.

What have Crystal Palace fans said about Diogo Jota Tribute Disruptie?
We want to say from the start that, regardless of the size of the minority, this was a shameful act.
Jota’s death, it should be obvious, still feels unmistakably raw and is a clear emotional problem that affects the Diogo family and the Liverpool fan base.
However, to give Paleis fans to their fans owed, the disruption has been unambiguously deviated from. One account, @fypfanzine on X (formerly Twitter), explained that difficulties to get to Wembley Stadium, maybe it explained why some supporters acted so unconsciously during the silence of the minute.
To be completely honest for the club, we have generally had no problems with the Crystal Palace fan base in earlier collisions, and we can certainly accept that such behavior was not the will of the supporters in general.
We have had a good relationship with Liverpool fans over the years. We don’t sing a tragedy, we take care of our community. We have a lot in common as fans.
We are sure that nobody would have deliberately disturbed the moment of silence.
Our thoughts are at Diogo, Andre and family.

Some of our own fans have said that people have done Boo. That is really disappointing.
Jota’s death shocked us. We cannot believe that people would fascinate a memorial for him. Let alone our own fans.
We cannot speak for them, but we can apologize for their actions. So we’re sorry. ❤️💙

Arne Slot perfectly put it in Post-Crystal Palace Presser
As you would expect, Liverpool head coach Arne Slot dealt with the whole case with a remarkable amount of grace after full -time.
The Dutchman told the press that he felt that there was no “bad intention” for the disruption.
The former boss of Feyenoord then entered the fan of the fan on our upcoming Premier League seal opener against Bournemouth on Friday.
“We will see on Friday when Bournemouth comes to our stadium, how respectful that will happen,” Said Slot.
