Croatian FA continues humanitarian support for displaced Ukrainian children – Inside World Football

February 3 – The Croatian Football Federation (HNS) has continued its humanitarian support to Ukraine by organizing a special day of sporting and social activities for Ukrainian children currently in Croatia.

The initiative was carried out in collaboration with the association ‘Croatia Helps’ and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Croatia.

As part of the program, thirty Ukrainian children and their group leaders visited Zagreb for a day designed to provide peace and solidarity. Highlights of the visit included the morning activities, including a visit to a local museum and organized social gatherings. The group attended the round 20 match of the SuperSport Croatian First Football League between GNK Dinamo and HNK Vukovar.

In collaboration with GNK Dinamo, the HNS provided free tickets so that the children could experience the excitement of professional football for themselves.

“The primary aim of this initiative was to provide a safe, positive and meaningful experience for the children. Using football as a bridge, organizers aimed to provide moments of joy and a sense of community to those affected by the ongoing conflict,” the HNS said.

“Through this event, the Croatian Football Federation has reaffirmed its commitment to social responsibility and humanitarian action, proving once again that sport has the power to provide much-needed support in difficult times.”
