The head of a representation of interests of the local government has been given an interim order of the personal safety intervention on allegations of continuous intimidation towards a mayor of Melbourne in the city center.
Mayor of Stonnington, Melina Sehr, told the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court last week that she had passed for six years of targeted intimidation of Dean Hurlston, who runs the Council Watch organization.
CR Sehr said that his alleged behavior towards her had escalated in the three months since Victoria’s police were applying for an interim intervention of the Personal Security Intervention (PSIO).
A PSIO protects an individual against unwanted behavior, including physical and mental damage; A provisional order can be given until a request for a final order has been determined.
The interim order prevents Mr Hurlston from approaching CR SEHR or contacting CR SEHR, but he can attend the meetings of the public council.
Hurlston told the court that he was a citizen journalist who agitated on behalf of the community and was not a risk for the safety of Mrs. Sehr. He said he would argue against a final order that was made at a hearing that was deposited before June.
The first application, made by Victoria Police on behalf of CR Sehr, was refused by a magistrate in January, but it was heard for the second time last week and on Tuesday after further evidence had been submitted to the court in early April.

On April 23, the Victoria police made his application a few minutes before it was presented to magistrate Michelle Mykytowycz and the court told that it was not enough and “no time” had to read the 26 pages of CR Sehr’s evidence.
The police later told the court that they had revised the document and had considered the content “politics in nature”.
CR Sehr’s statement was not made public, but she was asked in court last week about its content.
The court hears of alleged ‘intimidation’
The court heard allegations from Mrs Sehr that Mr Hurlston posted social media posts on successive days on successive days that claim that CR SEHR had misled the court and had abused the judicial trial.
Photos published on the Council View Social Media accounts of police officers who publish Mr Hurlston, the interim bill were also mentioned in the court, along with a public petition that CR SHR demanded as mayor.
CR Sehr told the court that she was subjected to a “relentless stream of spot, become smaller and abuse” by Mr Hurlston.
Mr Hurlston, who represented himself, said the court last week that he received the statement less than 24 hours before the planned appearance and “had no opportunity to refute one of the accusations offered”.
He said he was not a safety threat to CR SEHR and was simply interested in retaining his right to be able to look and comment on council meetings.
Mr. Hurlston said the court, although the council hose of the council was sometimes “Salacious” and “brutal”, he was a “citizen journalist” whose role was to “act” on behalf of the community.

Magistraat Mykytowycz ruled on Tuesday that, based on probabilities, an interim -hand was needed to protect the safety of CR SEHR pending a final hearing.
She said that the alleged behavior of Mr Hurlston – of which CR Sehr claimed that it was “lying” e -mails to CR SEHR under false identities, public “Smet” and personalized attacks “camouflaged by a broader discourse based on political comment” – would fall within the definition of “intimidation”.
Magistraat Mykytowycz said that although she did not believe that CR SEHR was at risk of physical damage, the presented evidence showed that the alleged behavior had caused “serious fear and therefore mental damage” that would worsen if it should continue.
Mr Hurlston, who is not confronted with criminal charges, and CR SEHR will then appear in the Melbourne magistrate court in June for a three-day disputed hearing on the civil case.
