Elliotte Friedman: “I think the more thing that makes DeBoer attractive is that he’s a quick turnaround guy. Like, if you look at his numbers in the early years of teams, he’s really good. And also the other thing about DeBoer is that, as it stands now, there’s kind of a shelf life with him. Like he’s there, you’re up there for two or three years, and it’s really hot, and then it starts to change a little bit. So you want that initial.
I think the one I probably watch the most is Nashville, honestly, Gordo. You know how the. Predators, they don’t have a great track record. I will say this, they are generally played very hard. That’s something I look at: Is the team playing hard? I thought they had a really tough loss to Dallas last weekend, but I thought they played really hard in that game, and then they had that Rangers game on Monday night really tough.
We all know what the Rangers were going through at home, and I think the team wanted to go to Sweden to see if such a trip could revive them. I think a trip like that can really help your team, something new, something more fun. So let’s see how these two games against Pittsburgh go.

NHL Rumors.com Note: It’s a big trip to Sweden for the Nashville Predators. They hope this will help them turn their season around. As much as GM Barry Trotz wants to get rid of Andrew Brunette, the coach was in the top spot last year, but it was the first with an entirely new roster.
The fact that they’ve had an entire offseason and are still performing so poorly is concerning. Don’t be surprised if things go badly abroad; they make a move on the coaching position to get things going. And Pete DeBoer is the man who could do that. Not to mention making a trade to change the selection dynamic.
