The former Manchester United midfielder was a revelation in Italy. He helped the Italians to the Seria A title last season and was voted the league’s MVP, with many Napoli fans believing United were foolish to let him leave the club.
However, there has been much speculation in the media claiming that all the major clubs in the Premier League are very interested in attempting to bring McTominay back to the Premier League, and now a senior club official has admitted that the Scotland international “deserves” a move to the “next level” in the future.
Napoli’s Global Business Development Officer Leonardo Giammarioli told TalkSport: “Yes, of course I’m concerned,”
But in the end, we, especially Scott, who is a very nice guy, will be happy if he reaches the next level in a few years. Maybe not now, maybe not next year, but he deserves it.”

When Man United sold McTominay to Napoli a few seasons ago, the Red Devils were adamant that they would get good money for the midfielder, that he would not be as impressive in Seria A as he has been in recent seasons.
But the midfielder has become one of the best in the world and a star that Napoli fans love, so we can’t see him leaving Italian football anytime soon unless a crazy offer is made by one of the big Premier League sides.
CHELSEA have the financial power to really test Napoli’s ability to retain their star players, and they also have the financial power to offer the midfielder the kind of contract he may never get with the Italian giants.
We don’t see the Scottish star returning to the Premier League anytime soon, but if he wants to prove himself to all those doubters, he would be a fantastic addition to most England sides.
