The Harness Horse Youth Foundation is pleased to announce the list of 2025 scholarship recipients.
Harold & Marcia Snyder Memorial (sponsored by International Sound)
Hannah Dingledine of Mechanicsburg, Ohio received $7,500. She attends Wright State University and is studying biological sciences with the intention of becoming a veterinarian. Hannah grew up with family members and livestock in harness racing and is admittedly a “very goal-oriented” person who decided to go to college to “pursue one of my passions.”
Jonas Scott of Warwick, Maryland received $3,500. He is a senior at Bucknell University studying computer science and engineering. He is closely involved in his parents’ trotting stable; “This support has given me the freedom to pursue opportunities such as internships that provided hands-on experience…just as importantly, the HHYF has helped me stay connected to my passion for harness racing, balancing time in the stable and racing with my academic work.”
Ryley Fuscoa sophomore studying biology and psychology at the University of North Carolina/Charlotte received $1,500. She also comes from a New Jersey running family and states that “one thing the harness industry has taught me is that loss is not failure, but fuel to try harder.” Ryley was also the recipient of the $2,500 Curt Greene Memorial Scholarship for this academic year.
Memorial for dear Karen
Samantha Mayhugh received $1,000 to earn her bachelor of science degree in agriculture from The Ohio State University. She hopes to eventually work for a company or association that promotes endurance riding based out of Circleville, Ohio.
Applications for all HHYF scholarships for the 2026 academic year will be available from December 1 via this link: https://hhyf.org/scholarships/
