DAVOS, SWITZERLAND – JANUARY 22: A bruise is seen on the back of US President Donald Trump’s left hand during a signing ceremony for the “Board of Peace” at the World Economic Forum (WEF) on January 22, 2026 in Davos, Switzerland. The US-backed “Board of Peace” aims to implement the fragile ceasefire in the Gaza Strip following the war between Israel and Hamas. The final composition of the board has not yet been confirmed. Certified physical therapist Adam James discussed the speculation surrounding the president’s health during an interview with American political commentator David Packman. Since Trump returned to power last year, strange bruises have regularly appeared on his hands – often inadequately hidden by makeup – and he has occasionally appeared disoriented.
Trump’s recent public speeches have also been remarkably rambling and disjointed. His long speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos last month was especially difficult to follow.
There have also been instances where he has appeared to doze off in public or seem shaky when dealing with the media.
Throughout the Davos speech, Trump showed considerable confusion, at one point confusing Greenland and Iceland. The president would lose his train of thought before seemingly regaining his focus, only to dive into a completely unrelated topic.

James believes these wandering thought patterns indicate declining health. “It’s all connected,” he said.
“The frontal lobe alerts us when we are doing something we shouldn’t be doing.
“His frontal lobe is shrinking into his skull, and the MRIs will show this. That’s the reason [the Trump administration] has focused on the CT scans because they don’t want you to see his brain getting smaller.
“So the frontal lobe is keeping him from organizing his thoughts.”
This was recently illustrated when Trump discussed a secret US military ‘discombombulator’ while discussing the situation in Venezuela.
“I know I’m not supposed to talk about this,” Trump had remarked, after rather casually revealing top secret intelligence.
“He knows he’s not supposed to talk about it,” James pointed out. ‘But his brain doesn’t stop him from talking about it.
“If it is frontotemporal dementia, life expectancy after diagnosis is about seven to 12 years. He has been showing these symptoms since before he was elected in 2016.
“His team’s ability to hide his condition is effective to a certain extent. The biggest danger they have is that he can’t keep his mouth shut. They would never have had to comment on what happened if he hadn’t mentioned his MRI.
“Look at Bruce Willis,” James said, referring to the Hollywood star who unfortunately had to retire from acting due to dementia. “He has now been transferred to a healthcare facility. His symptoms started in 2022, when he could no longer perform on camera and could no longer remember his lines.”
This timeline would mean that Trump would have roughly four years before there would be a serious deterioration, as Mr. James claims.
The medical expert reinforced his claim that Trump still has four months to go, saying: “I’m going by what the typical life expectancy is and what his symptoms are.
“Look at the stains on his hands. His team says it’s from too much hand shaking. It’s bullshit. That’s an IV injection site. I suspect he’s on IV diuretics to draw excess fluid from his body so he doesn’t end up in the hospital.”
