Thursday evening football in week 2 of the NFL season 2025 is a confrontation in the NFC between the Washington Commanders and Green Bay Packers.

Let’s dive into my commanders versus Packers forecasts.

Washington Commanders vs. Green Bay Packers Best Bet #1: Commandants +3.5 (+105)

This is without a doubt a possible NFC championship review. It is clear that there is still a long way to go before both teams can think about it, but early returns are encouraging. Armed with newly acquired Micah Parsons on Defense, Green Bay started his 2025 campaign with a 27-13 home victory on the division rival Green Bay Packers. Washington also opened with a division competition and insisted the visiting New York Giants 21-6. This is a fight between two teams with enormous expectations that are already in good shape, so Thursday’s game must be just as good as advertised.

Second -year commanders QB Jayden Daniels stood for a solid front seven to defend the Giants and had little trouble finding success. The former Heisman Trophy winner hit 19-out-30 for 233 Yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. Washington hurried a total of 220 meters, 68 courtesy of Daniels. Perhaps the best defense against Jordan Love and Company can be kept them off the field, and the visitors would do well in that effort if they could run the ball with similar effectiveness this week. After a week 1 loss for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last year, Washington did not lose any other competition for regular season due to more than one possession. Getting more than a field goal should be sufficient.

Washington Commanders vs. Green Bay Packers Best Player Prop Bet: Deebo Samuel More than 60.5 Rushing + received yards (-125)

It is not surprising that Samuel immediately had an impact on his new team. The former recipient of San Francisco 49ers caught seven out of 10 goals for 77 Yards in Washington’s victory over New York. He only got one hasty attempt and changed a 19 -meter touchdown.

Given Samuel’s house, every time he touches the ball, he has to stand in line for several carrys against Green Bay. It should also be noted that the packers now have a wild pass rush thanks to the arrival of Parsons. Daniels will quickly want to get the ball out of his hands instead of hanging around in the picket, which means that there must be a fixed diet from quick hits to Samuel in the lock.
