San Diego, California – Day two of San Diego Comic-Con was just as busy as the first. The busy conference floor means that you cannot go so fast, but that allows you to look around and appreciate all the people who are getting dressed for the occasion.
On Friday we found a few superheroes who invaded Las Vegas – and a man who is perhaps too big “Force” in the Comic -con World – Mark Hamill.
“I love fans. If they hadn’t been there, I wouldn’t be here, but if you go down, they swarm a little and you are stuck,” Hamill said. “You know, you can’t do a selfie, you have to do 50,000 selfies. That’s the law!”
Hamill’s print is completely over Comic-Con because “Star Wars” is always a star here. This year Hamill is pleased to talk about another project, his new film, “The Long Walk”, based on the novel by Stephen King.
“I am just a badass. I mean, if I do my job well, everyone will hate my guts! That’s okay,” Hamill said. “If you are a villain, it’s great to have the anger. Boo!”
For another Comic-Con scare you can go to the nearby hard rock to view the compelling experience that is going on for the coming film, “Predator: Badlands.”
“Huge ‘predator’ fan. I love the films,” said Travis Frame. “I mean, the original is iconic. I think what (then) Trachtenberg did with ‘prey’ great. Super excited to see what he does with this.”
There is so much to see and do here that congresses can choose and choose. And sometimes they just choose to just enjoy what is happening around them.
“I love Comic-Con. I love Cosplay. It is 2025. I have been present for 37 years,” said Dean Lecone. “It’s a love party. It is the biggest pop culture event on the planet. There is something for everyone.”
