Former Los Angeles Dodgers -outfielder Cody Bellinger praised Dodgers who started Werper Clayton Kershaw after the veteran announced his retirement at the end of the 2025 season.
Bellinger started his MLB career with the Dodgers and served as Kershaw’s teammate of 2017-22.
“He was a large part of that team and all our teams,” said Bellinger. “The way he wears himself. I leaned back, looked and learned: this is what it should look like. When he took the ball every fifth day, he was present. He was the hardest working guy in the room. He had an unparalleled work ethics.”

The outfielder was fantastic with the Dodgers during his first few seasons and won NL Rookie of the year in a landslide at the back of a 39 Homer season. Two years later, Bellingerer won an MVP in a season of 47 at home. He led the National League in Bwar that season with 8.7 while placing a OPS of 1,035.
Bellinger was also part of the World Series -winning team in 2020, in which Kershaw took over to cover the attacking struggles of Bellinger. Kershaw threw twice during the autumn classic in the Korge 2020 season, where 11.2 innings were recorded, while they could only cross three runs during that piece. He had 14 strikeouts in his two trips.
