New Charlotte Hornet Coby White says the group has a lot of youth/pure genuine love for the game.

“I think these are my guys, right? But I see my time in Chicago, I played on probably three or four different teams just because I was there. Kind of old, medium, in between. But I came here and it’s like, ‘I’m the third oldest at 26. So a lot of the guys are quite a lot younger than me.’ So when they come here, they just have that youthfulness in terms of that pure genuine love for the game, that pure genuine spirit in terms of playing a game that they love. And then there’s one thing I learned: you can’t be around someone like LaMelo Ball and not be happy. So what he brings every day in terms of his joy, his spirit, you can’t be around him and not be happy and joyful because he will do it every day.
“He is consistent every day in the way he lives his life and it is just a pleasure to be with him. But all these guys, man. Could [Knueppel]B-Mill (Brandon Miller), crazy Grant [Williams]Miles [Bridges]everyone. Ryan [Kalkbrenner]. I’m trying to get Ryan to come out of his shell a little more, so I try to troll him a little bit. But yeah, all these guys, man. Pat Connaughton. Obviously, I’ve been in the league for a long time and getting to know him. His mind for the game, his IQ, his feel for the game in terms of making adjustments in the game and communicating, I can already tell it’s been huge for the team.
