If you want to know what multitasking is, take a look at the daily Andrew Fisher’s.

The English MMA veteran started the interview after he had just put his two little girls asleep after he returned from a new hard training session. Here is the reality of a coach-vighter day for YA.

“I am very busy,” Fisher told me. “I do all school runs every day: drop-offs, pick-ups. I bring my children to the park as much as possible. [students] So much attention and one-on-one time as I can, and then I still give all the fighting classes.

“It is clear that some of the younger boys train, they just get up if they want, they go to the gym, and then [they play] On their Xbox, their mother makes the food and sings the night, and that’s it. But if I want to do something extra for myself, I have to get up at five o’clock in the morning, if I want to hit the pads extra or do a run. “

Family man

Understanding a hunter is not an easy task. If you have not been in their shoes yet, it is almost impossible. Andrew was lucky to find the person who better understands him than anyone else.

“My wife also competes,” he shared. “She is currently the number one amateur in England, so she fully understands what it is like, and we just try to help each other. […] She has the children, I get the time to train; I have the children, she gets her time to train. Because it is currently school holidays in England, my two smallest girls, who are six and four, are just sitting or running around there [at the gym]. I spared today and my two girls just ran around, screaming. “

However, he is confident, although, despite how difficult it is sometimes, he would never change his life. He believes that this lifestyle gives him a head start on the opposition because no one else does what he does.

For hunters, their children often become a sensitive subject for hunters for hunters. And understandably, because they know what is accompanied by a martial artist trip, the struggles and the disadvantages. Andrew is no exception: he is not entirely on the idea that his children are being hit in the head for a career.

“I have a daughter who is 17, and a son who is also 14, and they only had to train twice a week,” Fisher explained. “And then they could play on the computer, do what they want, as long as there were those two classes. My son continues to try to give me a fight, but I don’t really want him to do that. It’s up to him when he gets older, […] But I’d rather my children didn’t do it. “

“I am not really a coach, I am more of a team captain,” said the Englishman about the dynamics at Team Fish Tank (TFT). “I have always trained with everyone every day and I feel that I am only one of the boys. I am not really one of these coaches who just stand and watch and shout from the sidelines. […] I don’t miss a session. “

Of course, a few changes must be implemented with a fight on 13 September. Fisher understands that he must be a little more selfish when he walks through his own camp. These are the rules of the game, and you can’t do anything about it. Fortunately, TFT can function in these circumstances thanks to the community that has built up over the years.

Fisher believes that his mentality was not good to enter his last few fights. Because he was bigger than most of his opponents, he just trusted too much on a heavy shot. In his mind, that is exactly what led to his last two defeats.

“I might be a little prematurely retired after my last fight, because I was beaten up a bit,” he said. “I was a bit misled what my skills was. […] I felt that I only needed one blow and the whole fight would change. So I have based myself a bit, but of course my last two fights didn’t really work. I have not used any of my other skills. “

Time away from De Kooi, the Englishman reconsider the pension. Refrest and reloading, he believes that he knows what should be changed in the future.

“It was actually nice not to think about that stuff and to realize what my mistakes were,” Fisher said about his downtime. He spent a lot of time for the Whiteboard, analyzed his versions and think of a new strategy.

“I feel better than I ever [have]”Fisher called ahead to his comeback at Cage Warriors 193.” I feel much smarter, I train wiser, I feel fitter, I feel stronger, so I just don’t see why I am Wouldn’t Keep going. “
