Allegedly, Chelsea seems to have received a boost because RB Leipzig -who has made attacking midfielder Xavi Simons made it clear that he wants to leave his current club.

As emphasized by journalist Fabrizio Romano on X, it seems that Simons has now removed the mention of Leipzig on his Instagram bio, because he sends a clear signal that he could be allowed to go to Chelsea.

Nederlands International is an exciting talent that ended last season with 14 goals and 11 assists in all competitions for club and country, and it seems that he could be on his way to Stamford Bridge.

See below, because Romano says that Simons’ social media activity is no coincidence, because he wants to join Chelsea, with conversations at an advanced stage, even if the deal is not yet done …

Romano posted: “Xavi Simons who removes RB Leipzig from his Instagram -Bio, seen as a transfer message: he wants Chelsea Move. Negotiations remain advanced, more work to do it to get it, but Xavi has left for 2 years on his contract and will not extend.”

Xavi Simons to Chelsea is certainly just a matter of time

Simons is not exactly subtle here – he clearly wants to leave Leipzig, and that probably means that he will be a Chelsea player for too long.

CFC has recently invested a lot of money in top young players such as Simons, and this would represent another large coup for the blues.

We have already seen Jamie Gittens join this summer to give Chelsea an attacking midfield option, but there can also be room for Simons after the departure of Noni Madueke and Joao Felix.

Chelsea could continue to spend

Chelsea may not have been done, not even if they bring in Simons, with the Telegraph The West -London giants also strongly connect with a movement for Manchester United -wing player Alejandro Garnacho.

Jadon Sancho was on loan in Chelsea from Man Utd last season, but Enzo Maresca and Co. decided not to keep him.

That may mean that there is still a gap to fill in the attack, and it could see Chelsea raid again.
