Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw reportedly early manager Dave Roberts about making exemption to help their wrestling bull pen.
Kershaw will probably not be one of the start options of the Dodgers during their best-of-three wild card series, so he looked at other ways to help the team.
“He is definitely a realistic option,” said Roberts.
“I think he has earned the right. He is open to it. And just a kind of where we are, we have to get the best guys to get outs. So if Clayton is viable – and he is viable – then we will use it. That is just a kind of where we no longer have.

Roberts kept saying that Kershaw brought the idea that he was taking on a bullpen role.
“I think everything should be on the table with covering innings down there,” said Roberts.
Kershaw spent Tuesday’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks in the Bullpen and came to appear in the game since 2019 in the Wednesday game in the game on Wednesday. He threw 15 throws on the way to a flawless inning in his fourth regular seasonal relief outing ever.
