Start setups
Start -tarpers
Nick Lodolo
It was a good and more important healthy season for Nick Lodolo in 2025 in 2025. The Lefty made a career at 22 start and he has thrown two complete competitions this year. During his last four trips, he only walked two batters and threw 30.
In the first two months of the season, left -handed batters struck very well against Lodolo. Or at least they touched a lot of singles against him. But in the past two months they have only hit him .237/.297/.339. Right-handed batters have not found much success on the average or on-base percentage departments. However, if they find hits, they show solid power.

Michael Soroka
Acquired on the trade theadline from Washington, Michael Soroka will make his Cubs debut tonight. He threw two started against the Reds when he was with the Nationals and allowed one point on two hits while he walked three and hit three in 5.2 innings in a match won by Cincinnati.
The splits against Soroka are great. Right -handed strikers hit a low average, do not run much, and they do not touch much strength. However, they are hit by many pitches. In fact, they have been hit more often than they have walked against him. Lefties also do not hit much average, but they walk more often and get for a lot of strength when they find hits.

News and notes
Hunter Greene’s Rehab Start
Last night in Omaha Hunter Greenee made his third rehabilitation start and his second with Triple-A Louisville. He threw out seven batters and did not allow earned runs in 3.1 innings while threw 66 throws. We have some video and more information from our writing this morning when you missed it and want to view it. Manager Terry Francona said this afternoon that Greene will still get a Rehab start.
Lyon Richardson back to the minors
Cincinnati had 27 players for Saturday/Sunday before the game in Bristol. For some reason for these special events, teams get an extra player and Richardson, who was chosen on Saturday, was allowed to be called on Sunday, and now he is back in the minors.
Play well, but not good enough
Jon Morosi from MLB Network noted earlier today that the Reds have been in the National League for the 3rd best record since 1 June and go 29-24 at that time. Unfortunately the Cubs are also 29-24, while the Brewers are a League best 36-16.
