Christian Natividad delivered exactly the kind of performance the UFC is keeping its eyes peeled for on Saturday night at LFA 220, scoring an impressive win over Jostin Quilca that further cemented his status as one of the top flyweight prospects outside of the promotion.
With poise, speed and finishing intent on full display, Natividad made a powerful statement in what many believe could be his final stop before a UFC call-up.
“I’m feeling good man, I’m so excited and blessed to be here,” Natividad told Cageside Press after his first-round TKO win in the co-main event.
“I know I’ve always been able to give a performance like this. Today I was just able to put it all together.”
Birth (8-0) recently made the move to The MMA Lab, one of the top MMA gyms in Arizona, and credited his team with the win, noting that the transition has already paid off.
“I have to thank my camp at The MMA Lab. They were able to help me put things together. I’m really lucky for them,” he said.
“I’m ready. Hey guys, let me know if it’s next week or tomorrow,” Natividad said.
“You know where to find me.”
