ONE MMA two-division world champion Christian Lee embraces chaos that would overwhelm most fighters. The 27-year-old has three children under one roof and a fourth boy on the way soon, all while running a thriving gym and defending ONE World titles in two weight classes.
Lee defends his ONE Lightweight MMA world title against Alibeg Rasulov in their rematch at A 173 on Sunday, November 16 at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan. The Singaporean-American is aiming for a definitive win after their no-contest ended via an accidental eye poke in December.
Fatherhood changed Lee’s priorities after the tragic death of his younger sister Victoria in 2022. He focused on building his own family with high school sweetheart Katie Allison and found the greatest satisfaction in quiet moments spent at home between training sessions. The fighter who once lived solely for competition now finds purpose in morning routines before camp and evenings with his children.
Lee and his wife always envisioned a large family from their early relationship. Three children demand constant energy with sleepless nights and schedules that never stop. The chaos keeps him busy every moment of the day, but he wouldn’t change a thing about his hectic lifestyle.
“To me, family is everything. My wife and I have three children and a fourth baby on the way. They keep us busy and on our toes,” he said.
“We have another boy coming. We have one girl and then three boys.”
Christian Lee credits wife Katie for managing a demanding schedule
The Prodigy Training Center responsibilities complement Christian Lee’s daily demands. The rebranded family gym in Waipahu, Hawaii, requires him to serve as head coach and mentor to fighters, including younger brother Adrian Lee. His days start before dawn with grueling personal training sessions.
The afternoon coaching duties take over once his morning workouts are over. Back-to-back classes fill his schedule until the evening, after which family responsibilities demand attention at dinner and bedtime. The relentless pace would exhaust most people, but Lee remains grateful for everything he has built.
Katie manages the home front while supporting the gym activities. Her teamwork makes the entire operation possible, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Lee acknowledges that his current lifestyle won’t work without her continued support and shared vision.
“It’s definitely a lot of things, managing time. Luckily my wife is so supportive. She’s on the same page. Having teamwork is really essential when dealing with the three kids. She also helps me run the gym,” he said.
“I’m grateful for what I have. I can’t complain. It’s a lot, but you can’t complain that you have a lot. That’s why I do what I do. I’m trying to shape the future for my family.”
