Veteran England National Cricket Team All-Rounder Chris Woakes has given good news to the team management prior to the Ashes 2025-26.
The upcoming edition of The Ashes is ready to start at the Perth Stadium on November 21, 2025, and the serial final will be played on the Sydney Cricket Ground from January 4, 2026.
Chris Woakes suffered a serious injury during the Anderson-Detulkar trophy
Senior English Allrounder Woakes was an injury to his left shoulder on day 1 of the fifth test match against the India National Cricket Team in the Kennnington Oval in London.

The unfortunate incident happened in the Anderson-Detulkar Trophy 2025 during the first innings of India of the last test. While he crossed in the 57th, Chris Woakes chased a ball from the middle to the border and put a dip in to pull the ball back just in the ropes.
It turned out to be a dangerous dip for the all -rounder when his hand slid on the damp outfield, and he landed awkwardly. Things looked horrible in the middle, because the all -rounder was in a lot of pain.
Phyiso Ben Davies ran onto the field to help Chris Woakes and brought him back to the dressing room for treatment before the ECB stated that the all -rounder had suffered a shoulder disocation and would miss the rest of the game.
But he showed great courage and walked outside to batten like a number 11 player with his arm in a pendulum in the fourth innings. And although he did not get balls, he ran between the Wickets to help Gus Atkinson. However, England still lost the exciting test with 6 runs.

Certainly good news for me – Chris
Earlier this month, in an interaction with the BBC sport, Woakes said that he was not sure if he should undergo surgery or rehabilitation, with eyes on the ashes.
Now, in an interaction on Sky Sports, Chris Woakes said he is taking a non-surgical route because he doesn’t have to go under the knife. He said:
‘Certainly good news for me. That is the best way to look at it. Of course, from the pendulum, and I feel that I can move it much better now, which is two weeks later.
“I suppose that once you get a little more movement in it, it feels a bit more normal. But there is still a lot of work to do. I am going to try to stay focused on rehabilitation and to get it as strong as possible. Ideally, I am ideally not needed no operation for now, but we will see how that goes and hopefully we can get it nice and strong again.”
