Chris Brickley’s Midtown Manhattan Gym is no stranger to S-Tier Hoops Talent. What started with an early co-signing of Carmelo Anthony, has flourished in a flourishing private complex that has seen visits of names such as LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Donovan Mitchell, who have all worked with the most popular trainer in basketball. The rising profile of Brickley earned him an ambassadorship agreement with PUMA in 2019, and now the two parties with their third collaborative sneaker have been released.
Brickley’s newest PE is called the Puma All-Pro Nitro 2 “Empire Legacy”, is a love letter to the NYC Grind. The top combines perforated leather with rugged suede hits on the forefoot and tongue, while on work boat inspired laces nod to New York’s long -term love affair with Timberlands. Brickley’s mantra’s “keep on keeping up” and “keep growing”-are sewn on the tongue, while a “1948” plaster in Varsity style on the heel brings back to Puma’s founding year. Look through the outsole and you will find street plates with names, places and messages that are important for Brickley, including a shoutout to Knicks Legend and Puma Signature Athlete Athlete Clyde Frazier. Last but not least, his adapted insoles inspired by a deli that Chris hit when he was a trainer for the Knicks; Absolutely a very NY-worthy addition to a very NY sneaker.
“The shoe represents everything I have worked for, the players who trust me with their profession, the city in which I have become a man, and the NYC false that has formed me. Empire Legacy is my way of celebrating someone who has used NYC to build an inheritance. Something I am still working on. – Chris Brickley.
Chris Brickley’s PUMA All-Pro Nitro 2 “Empire Legacy” is now available via the Puma app and retailers such as Dick’s, priced at $ 140. Use the purchase links in the part below where you can buy to copy yours.
