Nausea, vomiting and dysentery. All with the same symptoms after lunch in the school canteen. It happened at the Manzoni-Madonna Elementary school in the Gallarate countryside, in the province of Varese. Thirty children remained intoxicated and were transported to the hospital after eating the same dishes.
Transport to the hospital
None of the small students reported serious consequences or is found in a complicated health status. What is certain is that they could have imagined differently on Tuesday afternoon, between school agencies and then at home. Twelve children were brought to the first aid of the Gallarate Hospital, 19 in those of Busto Arsizio. Soolo Four were admitted to the hospital until today and then fired in the morning.
Le Commission and Attor’s procedure
The municipality of Gallarate informed ATS Insubria and activated the procedure for these cases: a specialist was warned and called to analyze the food that is served to the students. In the meantime, ATS has asked for the intervention of the NAS Carabinieri that carried out the samples on the food served in the canteen.
The children ate pasta with lentils, ProVolone, Bolini Alolio, bread and oranges. These are low microbiological risk courses.
