Earlier this week, at the Chery International User Summit 2025 in Wuhu, China, Chery International unveiled the T1TP, a concept vehicle that resembles a pickup that can be reconfigured into a seven-seat SUV.
According to Chery Corporate Malaysia, the T1TP concept is a unibody construction, unlike the Himla double cab pick-up, which is a ladder frame model.
The cargo and interior layout of the T1TP concept was described as a 600-litre load floor, with four anchor points and four partitions to secure loads of different sizes. Chery mentioned adjustable dividers that suggest a movable intermediate gate between the second row and the cargo bed, allowing longer items to fit into the passenger cabin.

In addition to the different front end than the Himla, the T1TP also wears different bodywork and taillights at the rear, so along with the reconfigured cab, it’s not just an accessorized version of the manufacturer’s double-cab pickup.
No details about the T1TP’s powertrain were mentioned, but the presence of CSH badging suggests the use of Chery’s hybrid system. At the event, Chery said the T1TP will debut in seven months, which would put it around May next year.
As for the Himla, the pickup made its debut at Auto Shanghai this year and is intended for the global market. The Himla is said to be planned for a range of powertrains including petrol, diesel and new energy systems, the latter being a Chinese reference to electrified powertrains.
