The Chelsea players have given insight into what was said when Donald Trump crashed their club -world cup trophy ceremony.

After full time, the US president joined Fica-Chef Gianni Infantino to present Chelsea with the trophy, after the blues Shocked European champions PSG to win 3-0 in the final.

But bizarre enough, Trump chose not to follow Infantino out of shot, once Captain Reece James handed over the trophy, instead it lingered while the stars of Chelsea around him were forced to celebrate.

When asked what was said to the leader of the free world, James said: “To be honest it was pretty loud. I couldn’t hear too much. He congratulated me and the team with lifting the trophy and told us to enjoy the moment.”

Cole Palmer, who was involved in all three goals and a stunning brace took his side to glory, was visibly confused by Trump’s long -term presence.

“I knew he would be here, but I didn’t know he would be in the stands when we lifted the trophy,” he admitted. “I was a bit confused, yes.”

Levi Colwill added: “They told me he would present the trophy and then leave the stage, and I thought he would leave the stage, but he wanted to stay.”

Trump was simply eliminated on American soil while he brought himself his way for the ceremony, where many of those present probably came from England or France.

He attended the game on the birthday of his attempted murder, so that he had escaped death in Butler, Pennsylvania, campaigning in the 2024 elections.

He looked at Chelsea a PSG side that previously looked unbeatable, where the side of Enzo Maresca wrote in history as the first team to win the renewed club world cup.
