Chelsea defender Designated target for Premier League trio

Chelsea have set an asking price of €25 million for Axel Disasi due to interest in the defender from teams from England and Europe.

Disasi has been training with the club’s U-23 squad this season after failing to secure a move this summer. The Frenchman was loaned out to Aston Villa for the second half of the 2024/25 season after falling out of favor at Stamford Bridge.

According to journalist Ekrem Konur, No fewer than nine teams are considering a transfer for the defender mid-season. They include Premier League rivals West Ham United, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace.

Bournemouth were linked with Disasi this summer, while Palace are considering possible replacements for Marc Guehi.

Disasi was pictured training with Chelsea’s first team this week, but head coach Enzo Maresca has stressed he is not in his plans.

Maresca said ahead of this weekend’s clash with Burnley: “As I have often said Axel and Raheem (Sterling) are Chelsea players.

“Axel helps the second team, the younger players.

“We had five or six players here at the break and Axel was part of some sessions with second-team players, but I think it was only one session with us.

“Right now he’s helping the second team, working with the second team and being there with the second team.”
