You can enjoy it as a meal on its own or as a side dish to your favorite meal. This really is the perfect side dish to serve at Thanksgiving, Christmas, Festive or other gatherings because it is a real crowd pleaser and oh so easy to make.
How to make the simple recipe

Start by gathering your four basic ingredients:
- 1 Broccoli
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup grated cheese
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius, cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets and place them in an ovenproof baking dish.

You can use broccoli as suggested in this recipe, or swap some or all of the broccoli for cauliflower, zucchini, mushrooms, Brussels sprouts, or other vegetables you have on hand.
As for the heavy cream and sour cream, you can add all the creamy ingredients to make 1 cup. Feel free to swap some or all of the cream for cream cheese, ricotta, whipped cream, or any other creamy ingredient you like.

Pour both creams over the chopped broccoli and stir everything together well.

Just like with the creams, you can use any grated cheese you like. Choose one or a mixture of:
- Mozzarella cheese
- Cheddar cheese
- Parmesan cheese
- Gruyere cheese
- Monterey Jack cheese
- Fontina cheese
Add half the cheese to the casserole and mix to combine, then top with the other half cup of cheese, or more, until you have a cheese-covered casserole.

Place the easy broccoli casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the top is golden brown, cheesy and cooked perfectly to your liking.
Serve the cheese dish immediately as a main or side dish with the meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container and enjoy within a few days – if it lasts that long!
