Bollywood -Superster Akshay Kumar has borrowed his voice to collect the nation behind the women in blue while building excitement for the ICC World Cup Ladies 2025. The actor insisted on fans to show the same passion and support for women’s cricket as for the men’s game.
While he spoke about the importance of supporting women in blue, Akshay remembered his experience in viewing the World Cup Final 2017 and stated that Cricket is just as much a sport for women as for men.
Akshay can also be seen in the Indian vice-captain Smriti Mandhana’s no. 18 sweater, the idea that it is whether it is Virat Kohli or Smriti Mandhana, the sweater remains the same.
“I still remember the World Cup Final 2017. I took a train from Scotland and went to the stadium to watch the final. Then I saw the passion of the cricket team of our women. Why did I go because I was when I understood that there was no slaughter in Cricket.

The World Cup World Cup 2025 will take place from 30 September to 2 November in DY Patil Stadium (Navi Mumbai), ACA Stadium (Guwahati), Holkar Stadium (Indore), ACA-V-VACA Stadium (Visakhapatnam) and R Premadasa Stadium (Colombo, Sri Lanka).
India will start their campaign against fellow Gastheren Sri Lanka in Guwahati on 30 September before he met in Colombo opposite Arch-Rivalen Pakistan on 5 October. They will return to host South Africa (October 9) and Australia (October 12) in Visakhapatnam before they fly to Indore on October 19 for the collision against England. Their next two encounters, against Nieuw -Zeeland and Bangladesh, will be played in Navi Mumbai on October 23 and 26.
